What does a typical session look like?
A typical therapy session involves discussing your thoughts, feelings, and challenges in a safe, confidential space. We work together to explore patterns, identify goals, and develop strategies for personal growth and coping. Sessions are typically 50 minutes and focused on your unique needs and mental health journey.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer online therapy sessions. You can attend from the comfort of your home using a secure video platform. This option provides flexibility while maintaining the same quality and confidentiality as in-person sessions.
What are your specialties? Anything you don’t work with?
My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, body image concerns, and relationship issues. I am also certified in EMDR therapy, a powerful tool to help you process and heal from past trauma. Additionally, I work with a range of other mental health challenges, tailoring therapy to fit your unique needs.
What is EMDR therapy, how does it work?
EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps individuals heal from trauma by using bilateral stimulation, like guided eye movements, while recalling distressing events. This process reduces the emotional intensity of the memory, allowing for healthier processing and relief. It’s particularly effective for PTSD, anxiety, and trauma-related issues.
Social Media Policy
My social media policy is designed to protect your privacy and maintain professional boundaries. I do not follow or interact with clients on social media platforms to ensure confidentiality. Any communication related to therapy should take place through secure, professional channels such as email or phone. Social media interactions are not considered part of the therapeutic relationship.
Do you work with clients outside of Utah?
No, I currently only accept clients who reside within Utah.
